Beatrice (Brukhe) Lang Caplan holds a PhD in Yiddish Studies from Columbia University and has taught Yiddish Language and Culture in many places, including The Jewish Theological Seminary of America, Harvard University and the Uriel Weinreich Program at the YIVO Institute in New York. She currently teaches at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and is a writer for the new animated Yiddish language program YiddishPOP. Her visit to Australia is organised by Yiddish Australia.
